Eric Carmen, the lead singer of the popular PowerPop band Raspberries and the voice behind solo hits such as “All By Myself,” “Never Gonna Fall in Love Again,” and “Hungry Eyes,” has passed away at the age of 74.

The American singer Eric Carmen was known for his massive hits in the 70s and 80s. He started as the frontman of Raspberries, writing or co-writing most of their songs, including their biggest hit, “Go All the Way”. This song likened to the guitar riffs of the Who and the vocals of the Beatles, faced controversy due to its suggestive lyrics and was banned by some US and UK radio stations, including the BBC. However, its popularity soared in 2014 when it was featured on the first Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack.
